1923-1964, fabulous First Day Cover lot, with approximately 750 covers most with unusual and colorful cachets which have not been cataloged, the catalog value is from Scott FDC's, many of the lots catalog between $3.50 and as much as $35, this lot is a treasure trove of great items that can be offered individually by the dealer (many of th early issues have 7-8 different cachets and could easily be offered in smaller lots) or added to a collection; of note is #690 contains all the cancellations listed, the 1934 Issue is well represented here, there are covers of Famous Americans (in blocks of 4) and the Presidential Issues (singles and pairs) with the White House cachet and the Electric Eye cachet, too many to image it all but a nice selection are imaged here to give you a flavor of the lot! Scott $2,914 approx.

1944-1947, WWII patriotic multicolor event covers with Fluegel cachets, designed by Ludwig W. Staehle, a total of 102 colorful covers commemorating a series of historic events. This is a fabulous find from an old-time dealer's stock, encompassing cancellations on 6/6/44 Invasion day to 7/6/1947 commemorating our Bicentennial; there is of course some duplication.

1944-1945, WWII patriotic covers with Fluegel cachets, 13 in all, each cover bears an Overrun Countries Issue stamp commemorating the day of liberation, canceled on that date by the US Navy; plus a n.h. copy of the stamp alone all mounted on colorful White Ace album pages; a neat group for the WWII enthusiast, all imaged on the website, Very Fine.
